![]() ![]() They seem to represent various mission objectives (eliminate, persuade, collect bullion, etc), so possibly they were intended for mission briefings, or even some kind of editor icons. It's not known what these were for, but they can be found with the icons used for the main menu UI. It's unknown what they would do or lead to. They combine to form a kind of S shape, and are positioned to the middle right of the screen of all menus. These are seen in pre-release screenshots. It's not 100% clear what this is, but based on a pre-release screenshot and the placement of the image in the files, it seems this was originally what the mouse cursor would turn into on the map screen. There's also a pair of unused fields in the ALL000.MIS file mission definitions called PANStart and PANEnd that it seems would open/close items in the PAN once a level was completed. There is also a cut in-game objective to use the PAN, as outlined in the cut Objectives section below. Presumably the Public Access Network would be some kind of in-game internet/BBS system for progressing plot elements at some point. In the PlayStation version's Symbols file there are leftovers for a command called "next_panet_item". As with other icons in the game, it would animate when moused over. ![]() Above are unselected and selected versions. Would go at the bottom of the screen in the menus, between the System and Map icons. Some mods may also support settings that can be customized in this menu.The final game contains the following cut interface graphics in its files. ![]() This menu can be used to be activate and deactivate mods. The Unity Mod Manager menu window can be opened by pressing LCtrl F10. Unzip the zipped mod folder and place the unzipped folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Executive Assault 2\Mods.Drag the zipped mod folder into the "Mods" tab of Unity Mod Manager.To install a mod you can do either of the following: If everything has worked correctly, you should be able to launch Executive Assault 2 and have a mod manager window pop up when the main menu loads.Click "Install" to install the mod manager.If it doesn't, the game folder can usually be found at C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Executive Assault 2 or somewhere similar. The mod manager should automatically detect your game folder.Select Executive Assault 2 from the dropdown "Game" selector.The mod manager has been updated and this step should no longer be necessary. Download the custom mod manager config (go here, right click the page and choose "Save as" or whatever similar option you have) and replace the original UnityModManagerConfig.xml with the one you just downloaded.Download Unity Mod Manager from the Files tab at the above link or use the mirror they provide if you don't want to download from NexusMods.Mods are installed using Unity Mod Manager. Works in multiplayer with other players who have the mod installed and enabled. Currently, the changes are applied to all players. The Unit Cap Editor mod allows you to change the ship and robot caps. Setting the multiplier to 0.5 will make the game run at half speed. For example, setting the multiplier to 2 will make the game run 2x faster. Use the mod manager menu to set the desired game speed multiplier. Time Warp allows you to speed up and slow down the game. The forcefields will remain on until you manually turn them off or the generators are destroyed. When BFoRA is active, your bridge forcefields will automatically be turned on when red alert is activated on your space station. Here is a list of the mods I have created so far: Bridge Forcefields on Red Alert (BFoRA) Report problems with a mod to the person who made the mod, not the game developer. Please uninstall Unity Mod Manager (using the "Uninstall" button in UMM) before testing for bugs in the game to be sure that only bugs caused by the base game are reported to the developer of EA2. As a result, mods are likely to be buggy and sometimes break things. Note that Executive Assault 2 does NOT have official mod support. ![]()
